The work
- Build and scale LLM-powered product experiences used by healthcare professionals.
- Lead new AI initiatives from concept to production and help define technical and product direction.
- Design systems for prompting, orchestration, evaluation, retrieval, agents, speech and model infrastructure.
- Own architecture, deployment and iterative improvement of AI projects end-to-end.
- Evaluate and integrate new models, tools and infrastructure.
- Improve performance, latency, reliability and cost efficiency across the AI stack.
The existing AI scribe is already in production; the team is expanding into further clinical AI workflows. The role joins a small engineering team and carries substantial AI product and technical initiative ownership.
What you bring
- Required: 5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2–4 years primarily building and shipping LLM-powered products.
- Required: hands-on production LLM experience beyond research or prototypes.
- Required: agentic workflows or complex multi-step LLM systems, plus evaluation pipelines, model monitoring or AI reliability systems.
- Required: experience leading technical initiatives or owning substantial AI product areas with high autonomy.
- Required: strong software engineering fundamentals and product judgment in a fast-moving environment.
- Technology examples: Python, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes or similar modern tooling; the posting does not mandate every named technology.
- Bonus: speech-to-text, voice AI, multimodal models, healthcare/regulated-industry experience, or LLM fine-tuning/training.
